Toddler gets stuck in vending machine

This sort of thing is becoming an epidemic. Everyone thinks it's funny now; just wait until the first kid drops a turd in one of those things and store owners everywhere will lock those things up faster than Mel Gibson driving through Malibu.

Deep-Fried Pizzer

For those of you who may or may not have recently come into possession of a deep-frying device, you should check out the deep-fried pizza at Brooklyn's Atlantic ChipShop.
Inspired by the Scots, who have a penchant for deep-frying just about anything, the battered slices at the Atlantic ChipShop taste like a combination of a pizza roll and a mozzarella stick.
Yum. (via Slice)

That penny is no longer worthless

I have to stop throwing my pennies out. Looks like the price of zinc has reached the point where the metal inside a penny is worth more than one cent.
Zinc passed the $1.80 mark today, that means the current "penny" has a melt value of $0.0101867. All the coins in your penny jar are worth more than their denomination.
Hopefully the public awareness of this news will finally convince Congress to eliminate the penny from circulation. The economy suffers because pennies are expensive to produce and because people tend to hoard them instead of spend them. (Thanks for the link, BDG)

How I spent my weekend

Had a great weekend...cruised down to AC to celebrate Amy's and Noel's birthday...had some beer at Scribbles, some martinis at Blue Martini, some red wine at Carmine's, some cocktails at the Trop...played some blackjack next to a dude who hit on a hard 17...hung out with A-Rod...humiliated myself...the usual.

Google eats YouTube alive (like snake)

If you don't understand why Google's acquisition of YouTube is super scintillating sensational, take note:

YouTube has the 90 second long dancing Indian midget video; Google Video has the enitre 30 minute episode of Adhisaya Piravi...WITH SUBTITLES.

(I still have no idea what's going on)
