Final Bee update
Well, Kerry Close made it pretty far....8th place ain't too bad. The good news for her is the possibility of two more shots at the National Spelling Bee: she's only in sixth grade! New Jersey represent! 2 Comments:
How disturbing was that winning kid? When NPR ran the story on the Bee I was only halfway listening to the radio and thought that somehow All Things Considered had been taken over by really bad audio porn. I'm gonna have nightmares about that. I'm just glad the fainter didn't win because that would have been a huge scam. I mean, he got to use a stool! |
