CRAP! Just as I had switched my Sunday morning cartoon allegiances from The McLaughlin Group to This Week in Washington, Cokie Roberts decides to leave. Cokie is both provocative and well-spoken: two traits that rarely coexist on television news. Allegedly, (yes I *am* a lawyer) ABC is scheming to replace Cokie and co-host Sam Donaldson with wunderkind George Stephanopoulos and frequent Imus guest Claire Shipman. I guess every broadcast network wants a pseudo-provocative Tim Russert type who kowtows to blathering quotes and baseless opinions. Note: I do not bemoan the pending loss of Nightline...I have never seen that show. Of course, I had never eaten trout until tonight. There's always a first for everything. 0 Comments:
