Chip producers Frito-Lay, a wholly owned subsidiary of mega-conglomerate PepsiCo, is suffering a 10% downswing in the supply of Cheetos because of testing for genetically engineered corn that allegedly causes allergic reactions. This upsets me on so many fronts: First of all, the Cheeto itself is so disgustingly unnatural (but oh so tasty), and secondly, this makes bioengineered food seem like the enemy. Bioengineered food is not the devil, mega-conglomerates that use it without proper testing and approval are. 0 Comments:
